Protein: A Deep Dive Into our Body's Building Blocks

Protein is one of the body’s three major nutrients, alongside carbohydrates and fats, forming the basic building blocks of our bodies.

Despite the growing awareness and consumption, there are many myths about protein that may result in nutritional decisions that hamper fitness goals and undermine your body’s full functional capabilities.

MPC

MPC

Milk Protein Concentrate (MPC) has the same protein ratio as is naturally found in milk; 20% whey and 80% casein protein. An extra benefit of MPC is bone health support by providing micronutrients such as calcium and phosphorus. All delivered in your favourite hot beverage!

MPI

MPI

Milk Protein Isolate (MPI) is a low lactose option that is typically made up of 85-90% protein. Its natural milk flavour makes MPI a great option in protein shakes and its high protein content can support weight goals by helping you feel fuller for longer.

WPC

WPC

Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC) is a premium source of protein with 34% to 80% of protein. It is rapidly digested by the body allowing fast absorption of its nutritional benefits into the blood stream and muscles.

WPI

WPI

Whey Protein Isolate (WPI) is the most concentrated form of whey protein available as an ingredient, and it contains over 90% protein. It is a good protein source that is low in lactose and fat.

WPH

WPH

The long protein chains in the whey protein have been broken down into shorter chains called peptides. This makes this type of whey protein more easily absorbed by the body and may reduce the potential for allergic reactions.

Casein & Caseinates

Casein & Caseinates

Casein is the main protein naturally found in milk, and it is often used as an ingredient in caseinate form. In its purest form casein contains nearly 100% protein.

Breast is Best

We recognise that Breast milk is the best nutrition for a baby. It's full of everything a baby needs to grow and develop in a healthy way, and gives children the very best start in life.

Before using infant formula instead of breast milk, consumers should first speak to a health care professional.

A decision not to breastfeed, or to introduce partial bottle feeding, could reduce supply of breast milk and be a difficult decision to reverse.
