Option 2: 28% Fat

To provide customers with a viable option for reducing costs, NZMP investigated the sensory impact of adjusting the composition of whole milk powder from 28% fat to 26% fat^*. Fonterra's expert Milk Powder Sensory Panel ascertained that whole milk powder with a milk fat composition of 26%, has an almost identical sensory profile to whole milk powder with a 28% milk fat composition.
