Calcium Caseinate 309
Calcium Caseinate 309 is made by reacting acid casein made from fresh milk with calcium hydroxide. It has enhanced heat stability and a low microbial spore count for sensitive formulations such as shelf stable aseptic or retorted foods, including enteral medical products. Due to its water-based ability to form a stable colloidal suspension it has high opacity in water-based solutions, giving a milky appearance.
Features:
- Low thermophilic spores
- High calcium, low lactose content
- Forms a stable colloidal suspension to give a high ‘whitening’ effect to beverages
- Excellent heat stability
- Slow digesting
- Origin: New Zealand
