Raised on a Hawkes Bay farm, Carey Ebbett’s passion for dairy was instilled from a young age: “We grew up on milk - milk products, milk puddings”, she recalls fondly.
Today, as NZMP’s Sales Director for Africa, she’s proud to share that passion with one of the world’s most exciting emerging markets.
“NZMP has a great presence in Africa. We have a team of people in Algeria, Egypt and Nigeria – three of the largest markets for dairy.”
With 2.6% year-on-year population growth and a burgeoning middle class population, Africa’s appetite for affordable nutrition looks set to take off. For Ebbett, having a strong presence on the ground is crucial for meeting this growing demand: “it enables us to build good relationships, but also relationships that can translate our expertise into solutions for customers.”
