The space, rich volcanic soils and benign climate of New Zealand are an ideal combination for organic farming. We’re proud of the farmers in our co-operative who have gone that step further to achieve organic certification.
By drawing on this rich resource, and using state-of-the-art practices, we can supply a wide choice of quality certified organic ingredients in many categories.
Sustainability beyond the farm gate
There are other great qualities to our organic range. Like a low, and reducing, carbon footprint. New Zealand has a very high proportion of renewable energy, and our highly efficient facilities make the most of it.
Our organic products also meet the UK Soil Association, and our company structure – a farmer-owned cooperative – means a fair trading relationship is at the heart of what we do.
Organic certification is conducted by the New Zealand Government’s auditing agency, AsureQuality, an accredited IFOAM member holding ISO/IEC 17020, 22000, 17065.
For the EU, USA, Japan, Taiwan and Switzerland, the products are certified by the Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) under New Zealand’s Organic Official Assurance Programme.

Whole Milk Powder
Whole milk Powder made from milk of predominantly pasture-fed cows with extended shelf-life of up to 24 months. Whole milk powder is manufactured by spray-drying fresh pasteurised whole milk. It is a soluble powder with a rich creamy flavour, as well as a uniform and consistent composition.
Instant Whole Milk Powder
A rich, full-fat milk powder designed for repack into consumer applications. Instant Wholemilk Powder is manufactured by spray-drying fresh pasteurised whole milk. It is a highly soluble powder which easily dissolves in water, tea or coffee. It has a rich, creamy flavour, as well as a uniform and consistent composition.
Skim Milk Powder
A versatile, low-fat ingredient for a range of applications. Made with fresh, pasteurised, skimmed milk, our SMP has a low-fat content with a clean taste and excellent solubility. With so many versatile options, you can choose from regular, instant, UHT or organic forms, a fortified option or from our range of powders designed for specific applications.
Salted or unsalted, spreadable and specialist – the choice is yours. Our New Zealand butter begins with fresh cream to produce a variety of salted, unsalted and cultured butter as well as a range of specialty butter designed for optimum flavour and performance in specific applications.
Milk Protein Concentrates
You’ll find consistent quality in this versatile ingredient. We own the world-wide patent in functional milk protein concentrate (MPC) manufacture and were the first to solve the cold water solubility challenges of MPCs. And we haven’t stopped innovating since.
Whey Protein Concentrates
High in protein, with an almost endless list of applications. Whey protein concentrates (WPC) are a great source of protein that’s rapidly digested by the body. When you choose your WPC from our specialised SureProtein™ range you can be sure of quality, consistency and performance in a broad range of application.
A semi-hard cheese with a flavour that ranges from mild and creamy to full-bodied, depending on maturity. Cheddar is a popular cheese around the world, and our cheddar range is no exception. While cheddar is characterised by its semi-hard, smooth body, there is also great variety in flavour to be found, depending on maturity. Choose between flavours that range from mild and milky to distinctively sharp, as well as varieties that include reduced fat, vegetarian, low and reduced salt and organic.
Food ingredients that promote the growth of beneficial gut bacteria. We offer prebiotics in the form of SureStart™ Galacto-oligosaccharide (GOS), available for use in a wide variety of food applications.
